ከብዙ መቶ አመታት በፊት ነቢያት እንደተናገሩት ኢየስስ በሁለት ወንበዴዎች መካከል ተሰቀለ፡፡
ይህ ተራ ልብስ ሳይሆን ውድ ልብስ ነው!
እዚህ እንሂድ አትቅደደው ልንገርህ
እጣ እንጣጣል
እድለኛ ነህ እጣውን አግኝተህ
አሸንፈሀል፡፡

As Jesus continues to hang on the cross, the crowd watches in silence. The Roman guards gather around the cross and watch Jesus. A Roman claims that the clothing is no regular garment. He tosses it to the group of guards. They yell and debate who will get it. One suggests they play, or gamble, for it.
They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.
