Parable of the Lamp
Jesus uses a torch to explain how his followers should live. No one covers the light or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it in a place where people will see the light when they come in. He goes on to say that whatever is kept a secret will be brought into the open. And anything that's covered up will be found and brought into the light.

ማንም መብራትን አብርቶ በእንቅብ የሚከድነው ወይም
ከአልጋ በታች የሚያኖረውም የለም፡፡
ከዛ ይልቅ በመቅረዝ ያኖረዋል፡፡
ስለዚህ ሰዎች ወደ ውስጥ ሲገቡ መብራቱን በግልጥ ያዩታል፡፡
የማይገለጥና የተሰወረ የለም፡፡ ወደ ግልጥም የማይወጣ የሚደበቅና የተሸሸገ ምንም አይነት ነገር ሊኖር አይችልም፡፡
እንግዲህ እንዴት እንድትሰሙ ተጠበቁ፡፡
ምክንያቱም ላለው ሰው ይሰጠዋልና፡፡
ከሌለው ግን ያው ያለው የሚመስለው እንኳ ይወሰድበታል፡፡
መምህር ሆይ!
እናትህና ወንድሞችህ ከውጭ ቆመዋል
ሊያዩህ ይፈልጋሉ፡፡
እናትና ወንድሞቼ የእግዚአብሄርን ቃል የሚሰሙና፤
የሚታዘዙም ናቸው፡፡
