Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I didn't use to think of myself as an anxious person, but then I learned that a lot of my stress is actually mass anxiety. And then I began to see that I was rife with anxiety, hurrying to get somewhere frustrated at traffic, anxious snapping at my loved ones when they asked me a question at an inopportune time. Anxious, stressed that we didn't have enough money for retirement. Anxious butterflies before a big presentation. Anxious Anxiety has its roots and a false good news message, which tells us everything won't be okay. If something does or doesn't happen, it causes all sorts of havoc in our life. These false good news messages cause us to act in such ways that sabotage our own lives and destroy our relationships. Jesus says that he came into this world so that we might live truly abundant lives. The message of the cross is that Jesus died so that I don't have to be anxious anymore. Everything is sorted out and okay. So as you walk, meditate on the reality of a new world where anxiety doesn't have to have you in its grips. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Lord, It is a new day. The day is for hope. Let us live in the presence of God. It is a day after a long night. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. May it be the day is unknown. Let our fears of the unknown of our lives and the world rest in you. The day is new. Let the newness of your mercies unfold to us the day ushers in the light of life. Let us to light in each new moment. New melodies, new memories, and your name we pray. Amen.
