Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When you walk the Camino, you experience so much
of the good that humanity has to offer.
If we could just bottle this up for the Christian, this kind
of experience is an indicator
and a sign pointing to a better future, a future
of love and goodness.
This future, the kingdom
of God is an upside down kingdom though.
Whereas rulers of this world wanna rule through force
and power, Jesus rules through love
and goodness and service.
Earthly rulers get their way by force and bullying,
but Jesus' kingdom accomplishes what no one else can
through loving and serving
in the world you get by taking,
by making yourself great in Jesus kingdom.
You get by giving.
Give your life for others, love with abandon.
Serve others as Jesus did.
And you find that true greatness is
found in the way of love.
Paul quotes a first century Christian song in Philippians
two, five through 11, which shows us the way,
have the same attitude toward one another
that Christ Jesus had,
who though he existed in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God, something to be held onto.
But he emptied himself by taking on the form of a slave,
by looking like other men, and by sharing
and human nature, He humbled himself
by becoming obedient to the point of death,
even death on a cross.
As a result, God highly exalted him
and gave him the name that is above every name, so
that at the name of Jesus, every ne will bow in heaven
and on earth and under the earth
and every tongue confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord
to the glory of God the Father.
It's hard to imagine being disappointed in life
because someone shows too much love.
This is the kingdom we are walking toward.
Let us love like this.
Always for soon shall cease your earthly mission.
Soon we'll pass your pilgrim days.
Hope shall change to glad fruition.
Faith to sight and prayer to praise.
I.
