イエスの凱旋入城
イエスは、エルサレムへ向かいます。エルサレムのすぐ外に、シュロの枝とロバがを持った群衆がいます。彼はロバに乗り、エルサレムに向かって進みます。群衆は叫び讃えます。 人々は毛布とシュロの葉を地面に敷き、イエスの通り道を作ります。群衆の中の何人かのパリサイ人は、その通り道をふさぎます。彼らはイエスに、弟子たちを静かにさせるように、と言います。しかし、イエスは笑います。もしこの人達が黙れば、石が叫ぶだろうと、イエスは彼らに言います。

And as He approached the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of disciples began to praise God joyfully in a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” But some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!” “I tell you,” He answered, “if they remain silent, the very stones will cry out.”
