The greatest gospel gap in the world is in 50 countries—they have barely any new, thriving churches. And nearly 75% of all the world’s unreached people (3.6 billion) live in 12 of those 50 countries. These people have the least access to the gospel in their own language.
Engage in strategic, focused prayer for the 12 countries of the world that are least reached with the gospel without ever leaving home.
Every month in 2022 we’ll feature one of these countries, familiarize you with its culture, and share prayer requests addressing the country’s specific needs. We believe the light of Jesus can shine through!
All about Vietnam
Vietnam is a beautiful place full of diverse landscapes and peoples. Nearby China and faraway France, two countries that once ruled over Vietnam before it became an independent country in 1975, heavily influence this country’s culture and language. Join us as we learn about this nation and pray for God’s continued work in and blessing on its people.
Motorcycles are the most common form of transportation in Vietnam.
Vietnam’s traditionally-communal culture values the clan, or extended family, over each individual.
Vietnam is home to 54 recognized ethnic groups, each with unique language, traditions and cultural practices.
While most Vietnamese claim no religious beliefs, about 8% are Buddhist and 7% Catholic.
Vietnam is a leading exporter of coffee, rice, cashew nuts and black pepper.

In Vietnam, some well-established churches minister faithfully alongside a growing house church movement. Pray for unity and love between all Christians and Christian communities—that there would be no strife or division among believers.
Many in Vietnam are seeking God online through Christian websites and ads. Pray for more volunteers to help these truth-seekers learn more about God.
Pray for many college students in Vietnam to get involved with a Christian group on their campus. Through community with other believers, they can come to know God, grow in their relationship with Him and learn to share their faith.
